Hard To Find Films Films From the Silent era and up that you can't find anywhere else!
YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT Barry Feinstein Peter Yarrow 1968
You Are What You Eat (1968) is Peter Yarrow and Barry Feinstein's bizarre impressionistic documentary portrait of the 60s counterculture. Yarrow, of course, was one third of Peter Paul & Mary. Feinstein is best known for photographing Dylan.
The film is notable mainly for the appearance of Tiny Tim extraordinary cameo (intercut with footage of screaming girls taken from the Beatles' Shea Stadium appearance) on which he is backed by the Hawks. The film was shot on both the East and West coast – including a long sequence at the Greta Garbo Home for Wayward Girls and Boys . There are a blink and you'll miss them appearances by a whole host of 60s characters including Frank Zappa, David Crosby, Barry Maguire, as well as legendary SF drug dealer Super Spade. It's full of bikers, preachers, hippies, even more hippies. And it's definitely of its time.
Quality is good, but not perfect...about a 7 out of possible 10.

Due to the vast variety of DVD players, we will NOT accept returns on these items due to incompatibility.
