Strawberry Shortcake is a doll we all loved 20 yrs ago! With her large oversized pink bonnet and those lovely green and white tights, she was truly unique! She still holds a place in my heart even after all these yrs. As a child I had the entire collection, which has since been discontinued. Being 20 some yrs since her last public appearance, I just had to bring her back to life! So let's fall in love with her all over again! Or make her a part of your little angel's special memories. With our fast past lives, handcreated items are such a rare-ity. And when we can find them, ooohhh what a treat!

This handcrafted doll is not only adorable, but she is meant only for the die hard Shortcake fan. She is terribly time consuming to make. Each little face is completely handstitched, hand embroidered eyes and freckles. She sports the signature big poofy bonnet trimmed in a dotted swiss grosgrain ribbon. Her hair is darling red yarn permanently attached to the handsewn head. Her legs are made of her signature green and white stripes and her darling shoes are a brown loafer made from a plush brown velvet. Her pretty dress is also a white dotted swiss red fabric and has lovely poofy long sleeves and elastic wrists. She is also wearing a pair of white pantaloon bloomers trimmed in a dainty elegant venise lace. And for that fanciful finishing touch we have the white apron with white eyelet shoulder straps and a square bodice, adorned across the waist is a beautiful green trim that ties in the back for darling sash bow. The hem of the apron is graced with those signature green diamonds a little red X's. She is completely and utterly handcrafted from start to finish. She is meant for your glass doll cabinet, center peice of your bed, or an heirloom to be past down. She can be played with, she is durable and sturdy, although, I crinch at that thought..lol

The arist of this doll (my loveable mommy) will soon be releasing Blueberry Muffin and Apple Blossom and that litte guy HuckleBerry Pie. She is only taking a few orders for Shortcake at this time due to the amount of time they take to create!
