Wonderful OM PENDANT from Nepal /Sterling
Om, the mystic syllable of A-U-M is venerated by the Brahmans and Buddhists. Om is the beginning of the mantra- Om Mani Padme Hum. Which is roughly translated "Hail the Jewel in the Lotus!", a 6 syllable invocation of Avlokiteswara, the deity considered to be the Savior and the one who is Protector from danger. Reciting the mantra protects all from evil. The symbol is used on pendants, rings, etc for the protection the mantra brings. A very unique OM pendant weighing 2 grams. Approx. 1 & 1/4 inches in diameter. It was handmade in Nepal and is sterling silver. The front of it it is highly detailed with some fancy "scrolly" etchings.
