African WATERMELON CHEVRON Beads -WOW!!
Wow! A truly beautiful strand of beads. These are the classic green and red colored watermelon chevrons from Ghana. The colors go all the way thru the middle of the beads. Not imitation!! Made purely of handblown glass, these beads are antiques. They are somewhere around 100-150 years old. For being so old, these beads are in EXCELLENT SHAPE!!! I don't see any chips, and just a few little pocks on a bead or two. The strand contains approx. 40-45 beads that are about 1/2 inch long each. The entire strand measures just under two feet long, including the sisal the beads are strung on. This is all in great shape, so you could display or wear it as is, or take it apart to use the beads in other stuff. You'll love them!!
