1935 Univ of IL Track Meet Michigan Interscholastic
This is a scrapbook page from a Hydde Park High School student who attended the Interscholastic Circus and the Dual Track Meet at the University of Illinois between Illinois and Michigan. All the items are attached to the front or back of the approx 10" x 14" scrapbook page. The first item is a program for the Interscholastic Party at the Univ of Illinois on May 17, 1935. There is a program and a ticket stubb from the Interscholastic Circus that took place at the U of I on May 18, 1935 in the Armory. There is a program from the Michigan vs Illinois dual track meet that took place at Memorial Stadium on the afternoon of May 18, 1935. The student wrote down most of the winners of the races in the provided spaces. On the back of the scrapbook page there are six "Good for Forty cents" coupons. The student wrote on one of them that they went there in Champaign on May 19th. Also on the back there is a Beverage lost for the Hotel LaSalle in Chicago and a matchbook for the Sherman hotel. The items are in good condition - the party booklet has a tear in the cover and stain - there is light yellowing and light dirt on them. A NICE GROUP OF ITEMS FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS!
