1917 WWI Mined Ship Repairs Drydock Glass Slide Naval
This is an original glass slide that was sent to a movie theater in Green Bay, WI in 1917 & 1918 to show between films giving current news and events. This glass slide's caption is "This vessel is in a drydock somewhere in America. She struck a mine and a great hole was made in her bow. It often happens that a ship can reach shore after such an accident." "Shown through courtesy of Joannes Bros. Company - Home of Martha Washington Pure Food Products". This glass slide was produced by the American Press Association of New York. The slide measures 3-1/4" x 4". The glass slide is in good condition - there is a hairline crack that must be inside, because I can't feel it on either side of the slide. A NICE PIECE OF WORLD WAR I / NAVAL MEMORABILIA! Postage is $3.50. Each additional slide costs only $1 each to send.
