1929 The Single Standard Photoplay Greta Garbo 8 Photos
This is "The Single Standard" by Adela Rogers St. Johns Photoplay Edition from 1929. The title page reads "With the illustrations from the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Picture". This version of the photoplay edition contains 8 photos from the movie. The book is copyright 1928, but was most likely issued in 1929 when the film was released. The book measures 5-1/4" x 7-5/8" and has 229 numbered pages. THE BOOK - is in good condition - there is a bump to the top edge of the cover - there is a small bend in the lower right hand corner of the cover - the outer spine of the books shows a light crease, possibly from the book opening in the center"Sept. 16, 1930" is written on the first blank page along with a name - there is a 2" x 4" area on the first blank inner page which has some light residue on it which may have been from a bookplate - the inner front and inner back cover have portions of the inner flap of the dustjacket glued to it.
