1967 Tom Jones Parrot Record Store Display Funny Feelin
This is an original record store standee / counter display made by Parrot Records to advertise the Tom Jones LP - Funny Familiar Forgotten Feelings (PAS 710011). The standee is a cover that had the front slick. The cover did not have a back slick on it and the back is blank. The blank back cover was machine cut, so that a flap on the back could be swung out and the cover could sit upright on record company counters or in its window. The back cover also had tabs cut at the top and bottom so that the record store owner could flip the top and bottom one out to tape or tac it up to the wall. The standee is in very good condition - it doesn't look like it was ever displayed - there is light wear to the corners - there is light wear along the left edge near the top - the back is yellowed. I purchased this about 15 years ago when I cleaned out an old record store that had been open for over 50 years. I purchased many promotional displays that had been sitting in the back of the store, some were from the 1940s! A HARD-TO-FIND TOM JONES PROMOTIONAL DISPLAY! Postage is $6.00.
