89 Expo Fukuoka Japan Kyushi Railway Pavilion Railroad RR Locomotive 1989
This is a group of 8 items from the Kyushi Railway Company Pavilion at the '89 Asian-Pacific Exposition in Fukuoka, Japan in 1989. These items were sent to a man in Chicago in Sept of 1989 from the Pavilion Manager and it includes a letter from the manager to the man. Most of the items measure approx 8-1/2" x 12", except for the tickets. The first item is a folder with "Loco Land" on the cover. Inside the folder are printed color pictures of trains. There are four card inserts inside the folder - each with a black and white photo of an old train. This folder has some creases along the edges. The next item is a 2 page folder showing children-related activities at Loco Land - a miniature train, Play Land (looks like kids could run toy trains), etc. The next item is a booklet on the Kyushi Railway Company. The booklet has 8 pages and is in English. The next booklet says "1989" on the cover and has 28 pages. This booklet is in Japanese and appears to be all about Japan Railways. The next booklet is a 3 page folder on Yokatopia - the Asian Pacific Expo (not railway related). There is a small card with the Locomotive engine character on it. There is a small card with a locomotive picture that says "Fantasy Land". There are two small tickets which I believe are for a ride on a train at the Pavilion. The items are in good condition. They are different colors. A NICE GROUP OF ITEMS FROM THE KYUSHU RAILWAY COMPANY EXHIBIT AT THE 1989 EXPO!
