1939 NY World's Fair Postcard Folder Poster Art Joseph Binder Trylon Perisphere
Can't afford one of the large World's Fair posters from 1939 ? Here's a way to get the original image printed in 1939 in a smaller form. This is an original postcard folder from the 1939 World's Fair which features the poster art from a poster by Joseph Binder on the cover. This postcard packet was produced by Grinnell Litho Co., the same company that produced the full size posters for the Fair. The postcard packet measures 4-1/4" x 6-1/8" and has 18 fold-out paper views of the fair. (9 on each side of the fold-out). The folder is in good condition - it has been addressed and was sent through the mail back then (a 3 cent Jefferson stamp) - there is a little wear in 3 of the four corners - there is a small diagonal crease in the upper left hand corner - the cancellation date circle goes about 1/4" into the poster image - the inner flap has the message of the person who sent it "Delia - When are you coming down? It is grand!" - the interior views are in very good condition. A NICE 1939 POSTCARD PACKET WITH WORLD'S FAIR POSTER ART ON THE COVER! Postage is $3.00.
