Portopia 81 UCC Coffee Pavilion Glass Coffee Jar Kobe Japan 1981 Exposition
This is for a jar that held UCC "Royal Blend" freeze dried coffee and has a drawing of the UCC Pavilion at Portopia '81 on the label. (The jar is empty - no coffee left) Portopia '81 was held in Kobe, Japan in 1981. The glass jar measures 5" tall, 2-1/8" wide and 2-1/8" deep and has a plastic lid. I can't read the side labels, which are in Japanese, but it looks like this held 50 grams. Since most of the labels are in Japanese I can't tell if there are any mentions of Portopia '81, but the front label does depict the coffee-cup shaped UCC Pavilion at Portopia '81, so this was most likely sold at the UCC Pavilion during Portopia. (And possibly elsewhere in Japan during the expo.) The glass jar and labels are in good condition. A NICE PIECE OF MEMORABILIA FROM PORTOPIA '81 - KOBE, JAPAN EXPO! Postage is $6.50.
