'98 Iraq Bombing Delays Pres Bill Clinton Impeachment Orig Editorial Cartoon Art
This is the original artwork by Jack Higgins for his Chicago Sun-Times editorial cartoon dated 1998. The artwork shows a newspaper headline dated December 16, 1998 with "Impeachment Vote". President Bill Clinton rips through the paper saying "We interrupt this story with late breaking news from Iraq!" This artwork deals with the fact that in December, 1998 the House debate on the impeachment of President Bill Clinton was interrupted for a couple of days when on December 16 President Clinton announced that he had ordered bombing of Iraq for refusing to cooperate with UN inspectors. The artwork measures approx. 11-5/8" x 14-1/2". This is the original artwork that Jack Higgins created. On the back of the artwork you can see the artist made a preliminary sketch for a similar idea. The artwork is in good condition - there are a few notes by the editor on the bottom margin - there is some light dirt on the margins - there is a preliminary sketch on the back - there is a small piece of scotch tape on the back. A NICE, ONE-OF-A-KIND PIECE OF EDITORIAL ARTWORK THAT WOULD LOOK GREAT FRAMED! When packed, this will ship at the 2 pound rate - check the postage calculator.
