Maximum Sound
- PC Audio Signal Connection
The ButtKicker Gamer is designed to work with low frequency audio
signals. Many computer speaker systems use 2 or 4 speakers and a
subwoofer using a 5.1 soundcard. Sometimes these systems only use the
stereo (line out) signal and do not have a separate subwoofer output,
but the low frequency information is still present in the left or right
channel signal.
Computer soundcards are generally either 5.1 or stereo. When
using the ButtKicker Gamer with a 5.1 soundcard, you'll use the
included mini "Y" adapter to split out the audio signal from the
"center / sub" output. When using the ButtKicker Gamer wiht a stereo
soundcard, you'll use the mini "Y" adapter to split out the audio
signal from the stereo (line out) output. Additional information is
included in the Quick Start Guide that is enclosed with the ButtKicker
Gamer.
- Console Gaming Audio Signal Connection
The ButtKicker Gamer can be hooked up to most gaming consoles. The
ButtKicker Gamer can be connected through the stereo output that is
standard on all current console game systems. The best source of signal
for the ButtKicker Gamer is the subwoofer or .1 track of a Dolby
Digital, DTS or Multi-Channel Direct system. Most current game consoles
offer a .1 channel output through the use of an additional adapter or
cable and a surround sound receiver. When using a surround sound
receiver, the ButtKicker Gamer should be connected through the
subwoofer output on the receiver. Additional information is included in
the Quick Start Guide that is enclosed with the ButtKicker Gamer.
