In our minds, these remarkable mini boxes are an absolute 'can't miss' affordable gift. We didn't just find them accidently. We chose them very deliberately to include in our bay store.
"Pot Bellys" is a collection of innocent little animals, each with a secret compartment for storing tiny treasures. The original models for these blue-eyed babies are carved at Martin Perry Studios in Gloucestershire, England. Each piece is cast using crushed marble, then hand-painted and tinted. The producers, Harmony Ball Company of England, have been creating boxes in crushed marble for many years. They are one of the top gift collectibles in America.
We sold them in our Hallmark store for a lot of years, before retiring, with never a complaint and regular raves. But they sell for $50 and up and we've wanted to stay with a little more affordable offering. Now they've added Pot Bellys. Just as charming and just as well made, but with such slightly less detail you'd never notice so they can be made to sell for the price we wanted in our store, under $20.
They come beautifully packed in sturdy individual collectors boxes and they'll speak to the friends you give them to that you selected this gift with care.
