NEW HERMETICS GROUNDING AND CENTERING

In this program you will learn the visualization tool that begins and ends most New Hermetics work. This tool is based loosely upon the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. The formula is the same, but the sectarian words of power have been replaced with modern archetypal equivalents. The ritual has been reduced to a simple set of mental maneuvers so that it can be conducted quickly, entirely in your inner temple. Its purpose is to ground us within the inner temple, and to awaken the elemental quadrants, with us at the center. Most of the work that we'll conduct involves one or more quadrants of the inner temple, and this tool simply allows us to quickly and easily get into the right space to do so.

THE FOUR ELEMENTS

This program introduces us to working with the four ancient elements (fire, water, air and earth) within the inner temple. By using this program along with the exercises in your Initiate Workbook you will take a look at your behaviors and habitual characteristics in such a way that you can see where your imbalances lie. In medieval times, these character traits were called the four humors: the Phlegmatic, the Sanguine, the Melancholic and the Choleric. The lists of characteristics provided are really just intended to be jumping off points so that you can see how to analyze yourself, but you will need to think about your own idiosyncratic tendencies as well. You will later learn a simple method for addressing these imbalances and returning yourself to a healthy state of equilibrium and free choice. In order to succeed in the New Hermetics it is necessary to balance your personality so that you are capable of expressing all of the positive traits of each element and are not obsessed by any of the negative ones.

Jason Augustus Newcomb has been studying and working with the powers of the mind for nearly twenty years. He is a lifelong student of the Western Mystery Tradition. He has studied consciousness and esoteric spirituality for most of his life. He has worked with yogis, magicians, psychologists, witches and medicine men. He is an initiate of the Western Mysteries, and has explored magic and mysticism in its varied forms around the world for the past eighteen years. He is well versed in Qabala, Yoga Philosophy, Esoteric Astrology, Zen, Tarot, Geomancy, Hermetic Science, I Ching and Taoism, Christian Mysticism, Gnosticism, and many other similar topics. He has extensively studied Hypnosis and Neuro-Linguistic Programming and is a registered and certified Clinical Hypnotherapist with the American Board of Hypnotherapy. He has spent many years exploring consciousness and has developed a set of unique consciousness altering tools that allow him to facilitate vast changes in consciousness in his students, which help them activate higher states.

His goal is to participate in the evolution of humanity in whatever small way Divine Providence has ordained for him. He is devoted to helping people expand personally and spiritually in a safe and nurturing way.
