Leonard & Busby Berkeley breaking-into-show-business New York City Broadway theater stage romantic gambling musical ("Greatest musical extravaganza of all time!") starring James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart), Judy Garland, Hedy Lamarr, Lana Turner, Edward Everett Horton, Tony Martin, Jackie Cooper, Ian Hunter, Charles Winninger, Philip Dorn, Al Shean, Eve Arden, and Leslie Brooks (uncredited in her first movie as one of the Ziegfeld Girls!). Note that MGM was famous for having "more stars than there were in Heaven", and because they were under contract by the week rather than by the movie, they could put them into multiple movies each year.
