You are bidding on an ORIGINAL single sided RARE Star Trek 25th Anniversary The Face of the Future Smithsonian Exhibit movie poster size venue promotional one sheet. This was the official Smithsonian institute's STAR TREK EXHIBIT venue promotional poster back in 1991 and only about 13,500 were printed in total by Paramount Pictures - a very small print run. The poster is 27 by 40 inches and is near mint condition. SADLY , although I have tried very hard to provide Bruce's emovieposter description of this one sheet the background and history of this poster IT NEEDS to be described properly - he doesn't bother to list these details in his inaccurate and empty of details description. THEY ARE - The Smithsonian had a STAR TREK EXHIBITION in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of Star Trek, they contacted Paramount Pictures and the official Smithsonian venue promo poster was created for that exhibition THAT IS THIS ONE SHEET offered here . Linda Corbett, who was then as she is today almost 30 years in the same position at that studio ! (I WROTE THIS DESCRIPTION ALMOST 10 YEARS AGO NOW - SHES PROBABLY RETIRED NOW) the Director of the Traffic Marketing Division at Paramount Pictures Corporation and was in charge of coordinating and distribution of this poster and she informed me that they - the Smithsonian Institution were sent part or all of the 5700 pieces of this one sheet that were first printed. Linda then informed me personally that she had obtained permission to go back to press and print exactly identical one sheets for me and the other companies on her list. This happened only a couple weeks after the first print run that she initially stated I was not going to be able to order . For many years Paramount added a list of companies orders to their studio print runs of there one sheets that they were able to get approval on . I was on that list, so in conversation with her - she informed me they had printed a additional 6800 one sheets for those companies after I took possession of my order. I had ordered 1100 of these at that time. This poster is a incredibly rare promotional poster that half the supply ,yes, has a aspect of commercialism in it's origin , but those extra copies printed are exactly the same as all the promotional examples .
