Terrifying True Adventures in Horror
Four Heart-Pounding Pulp Adventures for Trail of Cthulhu
Strolling Arkham's fog-veiled streets, you stumble across a humble antiquarian bookshop you've never before noticed. Driven by the febrile compulsions of a committed bibliophile, you slip inside. Soon you find yourself in its ill-lit basement, the stench of rotting paper assailing your nostrils. Ducking down, your fingers lunger for a cardboard box filled with curled, yellow-edged old magazines.
The lurid covers assault your senses! Can it be? Though you consider yourself an expert on the pulp magazines of the thirties, these titles are oddly unfamiliar to you. You scan the cover stories -- each is an exemplar of its time, yet infused by a distinctly Lovecraftian sensibility.
-
Devourers in the Mist: A rugged adventure tale in which the survival of island castaways is tested not only by the elements -- but by the twisted shapes of half-seen, sadistic entities who haunt the atoll's jungled interior!
-
Shanghai Bullets: Guns-blazing danger portends and international intrigue unfurls in the city of conspiracies, the licentious, opium-infested Berlin of the East. In the shadow struggle between nations, no weapon is more fiercely coveted than the star mirror. It brings blood-draining death from beyond the stars!
-
Death Laughs Last: When philanthropist and gadabout Addison Bright is found bizarrely murdered in his own New York mansion, only a team of doughty investigators can protect his reputation -- and the sanity of mankind -- from the awful truths lurking in his tragically colorful past.
-
Dimension Y: A scientific experiment yields the promise of a glimpse into an adjoining reality, a repository of man's dreams and memories. But when the heroes peer through this window... they find cosmic horror peering back at them!
A bang resounds above your head -- the basement door slamming shut. You're trapped in the crypt of impossible pulps! But before you meet your deserved fate, you can take your final pleasures in this collection of exciting pulp-style scenarios for Trail of Cthulhu, the Gumshoe game of Lovecraftian investigative horror.

About Me Hail and well met! Welcome to Hieroglyphs Books! I've been a gamer for 20 years (wow, that's scary!), and so you can be sure that I'm describing items accurately as to condition and contents. I've used most of the modules and books myself, so I know what's supposed to be there.
I work full-time in addition to selling books on eBay, so please be patient if you don't receive an immediate response from me. I do try to ship items the next day after payment is received, though that may not always be possible. Condition Description I try to describe my items as clearly as possible, so you understand exactly what you are bidding on.
- New: Item still in shrinkwrap, or has obviously never been used.
- Mint: Shrinkwrap has been removed, or shrinkwrap is damaged. There are no material faults with the cover and the pages.
- Near Mint: There are one or two small flaws with the cover or the pages. This would include whitening on cover edges or stray pencil marks inside.
- Very Good: Item has multiple small flaws, such as whitening or stray pencil marks.
- Good: Item has multiple flaws that could include damage to covers or pages. Does not affect the useability of the item.
- Acceptable: Item has a large number of flaws, but item is still useable.
Return Policy I want you to be happy with your purchase. Unlike other stores, all sales are not final. If the item you receive differs materially from what I listed, please contact me within 30 days of auction close, and I will refund your purchase price (minus any shipping charges).
