Hand Knotted Seed & Trade Bead "Arnold Necklace"
HI, I really appreciate your taking the time to view this item.
This is a necklace that is hand knotted from split sinew and has cut red czech beads put on each of the four strands before tying a knot each time. Trade beads are added at intervals and followed by more four square braiding with the czech red beads etc. There is a large pendant chevron bead with eight dangles of braided beadwork and with trade beads at the tip of each. The entire necklace is hand knotted with beads on each of the four strands of sinew, and involves hours of work. It is 21 inches long from the bead clasp to the tip of the tassles. The overall design for these necklaces was iniatiated by a deceased man named Arnold, who set up at many flea markets all over the country. He taught me how to make the necklaces when we both used to set up at Canton, Texas.
