100 Percent Bamboo Roving in Rose Garden colorway

This is four ounces of lovely, soft, lustrous bamboo roving for spinning in the Rose Garden colorway. The fiber in this roving has a 3.5" staple length and is ready for spinning or blending with any other prepared fiber. In the past I have sold bamboo roving to a lady to use for making lamp shades in the same manner silk lampshades are made. Four ounces will make a lot of yarn.

Bamboo produces a lustrous yarn with an incredible sheen and is silky soft. It is wonderful when plied with silk, and may also be spun with cotton, tencil, wool or flax.

Bamboo is one of the hot new fibers for spinning and making clothes. The manufacturer reports: Bamboo is an environmentally friendly fiber. Bamboo has a unique anti-bacteria agent that has been shown to last through many washings. Bamboo is naturally pest resistant and can be grown without the use of pesticides. Due to its fiber structure with micro-holes bamboo can absorb and evaporate sweat from human skin in a fraction of a second. Bamboo has the sheen, weight, and drape of silk. It is more alkaline tolerant and is not harmed by the aluminum in antiperspirants. Check my other listings for more colorways.
