ANTIQUE Silverplated Spoon E.P.N.S. (Salt?)
The following listing is for an early plated spoon. This may perhaps have been a salt or sugar spoon, since it's very small. It's marked E.P.N.S. on the back which signifies Electro Plated Silver Nickel. This type of plating process has existed since around 1830, so although I can't be positive when it was made, the style, thinness, and amount of wear certainly suggests that it could be an early one. The spoon has been lightly cleaned at some point. It's in very good condition, although it does have some scratching from years of use and cleaning. It measures approximately 4 1/4".
