LGE BEAUTIFUL VTG Oriental Asian Vase Rose Canton Style
The following listing is for a large gorgeous vintage oriental vase. The vase has a yellow ground, with blue, white, red, and green colors. It is decorated with enamel painted flowers and leaves. Further decoration consists of Imari like dishes in blue and white. These include various bowls, a large jug, ewer, or pitcher, and a large tea pot. The colors are vibrant and beautiful. The vase has a mark on the bottom in blue, which has the appearance of the number 4 or the number 7, with the English slash through it. This mark is repeated on the bottom's edge as well, in red. I don't know the maker, and if anyone has knowledge of what the mark denotes, or who the maker is, I would love to hear from you. It was suggested to me that this could be considered an 'English Oriental' piece, but I simply don't know the origins. I bought it for it's incredible beauty! The vase is in excellent condition, with no cracks, breaks or damage. It measures approximately 12" tall, and is just lovely!! Purchased in Stockbridge, Mass.
