1939-40 3D Glasses Chrysler Car In Tune With Tomorrow
The following listing is for a really neat pair of 3D glasses, in the shape of a car or automobile. The glasses were made to accompany a three dimensional film entitled, 'In Tune with Tomorrow' Chrysler Motors had made for the 1939-40 World's Fair in New York. The film was directed by John Norling, and I believe it was the first movie of it's kind. The glasses give an explanation of how to use them, with warnings not to use as sunglasses or night driving. They also have a little promo for the car company which says, 'Engineering research keeps Plymouth, Dodge, De Soto, and Chrysler cars and Dodge trucks in tune with tomorrow. You get good things first from Chrysler Motors'. The glasses were a souvenir that could be taken home with you as a give away. They are in quite good condition with minimal wear for the age, and measure approximately 5" wide by 2 3/4" high. These were found in the attic of a home we bought the contents of and are market fresh!! Rare, unique, and totally wonderful!!
