Beautiful Vintage Glass & Gold Decanter Painted Flowers
The following listing is for a gorgeous clear glass decanter, decorated with numerous gold rings. The body of the decanter has gold swirl designs and painted roses, Shasta daisies, and a diversity of smaller wild flower species, in blues, reds, yellows, and whites. I have seen a similar decanter which was labeled 'Turkish', but am not sure of the actual origins of this particular piece. There are symbols marking the bottom which could be Arabic(?). I've shown a photo of these, as that may help you. The bottom has a wonderful starburst or daisy-like design. The decanter is in good condition, although there is some wear in the gold painted areas. The bottom shows some scratching and a little wear from years of use. There are bubbles in the glass which occurred in the making, since this is a fairly old piece of glass. It measures 9 1/2" tall, has a diameter of 2 3/4" at the top, and 5 1/4" diameter at the bottom.
