Porcelain Tea Pot w/painted Japanese scenes
The following listing is for a beautiful little tea pot. The body is bulbous, and the form resembles a squash. I'm not sure of it's origin or vintage, since it is unsigned. Done in vibrant colors, it depicts Japanese women strolling through gardens. There are lovely trees and flowers, pagodas and ponds, with mountains in the background. The lid is especially nice, with a flower petal finger grip, and designs in gold. All in all, just an elegant little piece. The overall condition is good, however there is spout damage and two chips on inside of the lid, that you should be aware of before bidding. Very minimal paint loss. It measures approximately 4 1/4" tall, is about 7" from spout to handle.
