Lot of Large Vintage Christmas Cards w/Original box
The following listing is for four vintage cards in all. Three are large sized gorgeous Christmas cards. They are unused and in their original boxes that were for mailing. One box does have a 'to and from' label pasted on it and filled out, but the card itself has not been written on. These are gloriously fancy, with puffy, satiny detailing in some areas of the decoration, and in one case an actual ribbon is used. They are all in really good condition, although some of the photos suggest otherwise. The boxes are in good condition also, but do show some edge wear and one does have a small rip, along with some bent areas, although nothing major. One card is from a company called 'NORCROSS', New York, N.Y. The other two Christmas cards are signed, ' A VOLLAND MESSAGE'. The card with the bow, holly and berries, has the date 1949 hand written in it. Also in this lot is a very pretty vintage anniversary card from Ambassador Cards. This is also in great condition, but someone did write '40th' above the 'HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, it says to Ivy & Jim, from Pam on the back. These came from an attic we are cleaning out here in the area, where we have been buying many wonderful things, and have not seen the light of day for many, many years! The large cards are all approximately 9 1/2' by 7 1/2" and the smaller anniversary card is about 7" by 5". Wonderfully nostalgic!!
