2 Great Antique Lidded Basket (s) w/beadwork!
The following listing is for two very finely woven old baskets. Both are round and have lids. The first basket has a fabulously decorative lid with large colored early beading and old coins of some kind, with tassels on string bow. This one has a wonderful dark patina and measures approximately 9" in diameter and is about 3" tall. It has a sort of 'off kilter' situation and does not sit quite flat. There is also some separation of the bottom ring, but this does not detract from the basket at all when displayed. The second basket has early beadwork also, as well as similar old coins. It also has a pretty green ring handle made of an early type of plastic material. This basket is in great shape, although one of the coins has come off, and the beaded end is loose where it would have been. I do have the coin, however, so this could be repaired easily enough. It measures about 6 1/2" in diameter, and is about 2 1/2" tall. Both are very decorative and would make a great addition to your basket collection!!
