VTG Carved Wooden Cane Walking Stick Eagle Hatchet
The following listing is for a super folk art wooden walking cane! The cane has great carved patterns that run up the shaft. One side of the handle is shaped like a hatchet or ax blade, while the other is a carved eagle head. Although I can't remove the handle, it's obvious that the head of the cane and the shaft are two separate pieces. The bottom of the cane is metal tipped. It has a Native American look, although it does say 'Japan' on the cane's metal tip. It has a dark brown stain/paint finish, while the carved areas have been left natural, for contrast. The condition is good, although there is a chip in the top side of the hatchet blade, and a line carved down one side of the blade that doesn't appear to be part of the design. It measures just under 37" long. This is another item from the house we bought out here in the area, and is fresh to the market!
