Antique Uncle Wiggily's Puzzle Book 1913~1917
The following listing is for a very early copy of Uncle Wiggily's Puzzle Book, by Howard R. Garis. The book has a variety of illustrated puzzles for children to work out, which were done by C. Garis. There are other illustrations done by an Ian G. Campbell. The book has the following condition issues. The cover shows wear and the corners are bumped, or bent. The binding is a somewhat loose at the front of the book. This only affects the first few pages. The rest are pretty much intact. This book has no copyright date, which leads me to believe the loose binding/spine situation has resulted in the loss of at least one page. It is however, the same vintage as two of the other Uncle Wiggily books I currently have listed, and they are from 1913 and 1917. The back cover has a stain, as you can see. There is writing on the front cover. There are three names of previous owner's in the book, as well as some other writing inside and you will find a few small stains/spots, but on the whole the pages are clean. Two pages have rips and one page has a small tear. This is a very early volume that was acquired locally and is fresh to the market.
