*Great* Vintage Black Panther Planter Shawnee?
The following listing is for a wonderful planter with a powerful looking black panther. The panther sits on a bed of green leaves, with wonderful mauve colored leaves above, with great detail. The interior of the planter is creamy white. It's on feet, and although it isn't signed, bears great resemblance to a 'SHAWNEE' piece recently seen on Ebay. The finish is very lustrous. The planter is in very good condition, although there is some roughness of the top edges. It has one hairline on the inside, and another at the edge of the top. There is also a small chip on the bottom. These are not glaring flaws, but you should be aware of them before bidding. The piece appears to be as early as possible the 30's or 40's, and has a wonderfully aged crackle finish. It measures approximately 6 1/2" long and is about 5" tall.
