*BEAUTIFUL* Vintage Ceramic Lidded Musical Beer Stein
The following listing is for a gorgeous vintage lidded beer stein, which also doubles as a music box. It's done in ceramic, with absolutely beautiful designs done in relief! These include a chalet, a church style building, and a center design of flowers, with a Red Cross type symbol in their midst. It has 'Montreux' on the side, which is a town in Switzerland. The stein has the name 'Dr. Schiwago' (Dr. Zhivago) on the bottom and the stein plays 'Lara's Song'. If, in fact, this was made at the time of the song and movie, it's appearance certainly belies that date, as it appears much older than that would make this piece. It is just a gorgeous, gorgeous item!!! It's in wonderful condition! I don't believe it to have any flaws. It has the letters 'DGBM' inside the lid, as well as a diamond shaped logo, with the letters 'DRM'. Beneath the handle is what looks like the number 1194. There is a marking on the bottom also, which may be a stylized 'D'. The stein measures approximately 11" tall, and comes from a private home in West Stockbridge, Mass.
