Moon Landing Coin Signed Armstrong Aldrin Collins Nixon
The following listing is for a beautiful commemorative coin honoring the 1969 Moon landing. The coin has a wonderful bronze patina! One side shows Neil Armstrong standing on the Moon, the American Flag, Apollo 11, and the Apollo Lunar Module, with the date and the famous phrase, 'That's one small step for man, a giant leap for mankind'. The other side has the names of the astronauts, Aldrin, Armstrong, and Collins, with two views of the Earth, and the phrase 'Here men from the planet Earth first set foot upon the Moon' , with the date underneath the phrase. This is a bit different from the others I've seen on the Internet, as it also has simulated signatures of the three astronauts, as well as that of Richard Nixon on it. There is additional writing under each signature, but it is very tiny, and I'm getting eye strain from trying to make it out!! I can see that under Richard Nixon's signature it says Richard Nixon~President~United States of America. The coin is in really good condition, but does have a hole drilled in it. The coin measures approximately 1 5/16". This comes from a home in the area that we bought the contents of and is completely market fresh!
