Sir Edwin Landseer Steel Engraving The Naughty Boy
British Artist, Sir Edwin Landseer, RA, is the original creator of this 1834 work of art entitled "The Naughty Boy". Steelplate engraving is a book plate taken from the leather bound book "The New Gallery of British Art" published in 1880 by D. Appleton and Company, New York, and is over 120 years old. Steel engraving bears title of work, artist's name and engraver's name, W. Finden. This is a genuine steel engraving and is not a reproduction print. Engraving has a rich texture and is sharp and crisp. It is in good estate condition. It does show some discoloration or yellowing towards the outer edges. Also, one edge is a bit uneven and will need a slight trim. This is a high quality plate engraved on heavy stock. Publisher's overview sheet is also included with steel engraving.
