JOHN S COPLEY Steel Engraving Children of George III
American Artist, John Singleton Copley born in Boston, 1737, and died in London, 1815, is the original creator of this fine work of art "The Royal Princesses: Children of George III". This steel plate engraving is a book plate taken from the leather bound book "The New Gallery of British Art" published in 1880 by D. Appleton and Company, New York, and is over 120 years old. Steel engraving bears title of work, artist's name, and engraver's name, R. Graves. This is a genuine steel engraving and not a reproduction print. Engraving has a rich texture and is sharp and crisp. It is in good estate condition; but, there is some discoloration or yellowing towards the outer edges. This is a high quality plate engraved on heavy stock. Publisher's overview sheet is also included with steel engraving. Engraving is ready to mat and frame. Buyer pays $4.25 priority shipping.
