BLUE STAR ANGEL CERAMIC TILE
This is a handmade ceramic tile meant for mosaic work. This 3 1/2" tile has an Art Deco style impression of an angel, reaching for the stars. Around the tile is inscribed: Yearn'd to burst the folded gloom, to bare the eternal heavens again. To feel once more in placid awe, the strong imagination roll a sphere of stars above my soul". The tile is glazed with beautiful Peacock Blue glaze. I make my 1/4" thick tiles with low-fire white clay that is twice-fired and triple-glazed.
