NFL BOBBLEHEADS: John Abraham
Selected with the 13th pick overall in the 2000 draft, which was acquired in a trade with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In exchange for wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson, the Jets obtained first round draft choices #13 and #27 (TE Anthony Becht). Abraham was the third linebacker taken (WAS LaVar Arrington and CHI Brain Urlacher) overall.
Started all 16 games at RDE and recorded a team-high 10 sacks. Also tallied 82 tackles (52 solo), two PD, and a FF. Racked up two sacks and 11 tackles in two playoff games. Earned his second consecutive selection to represent the AFC at the Pro Bowlin 2002.
John Produced 13 sacks (team-high), six forced fumbles (team-high), three fumble recoveries (team-high), and 82 tackles in 2001.
Voted as starting LDE for the AFC squad at the Pro Bowl following that 2001 campaign.
