DC DIRECT JLA II: Adam Strange
A scientist from Earth, Adam Strange was teleported to the planet Rann by one of that world's scientists, Sardath. In Strange, Sardath created both a hero for his world and a husband for his daughter Alanna, many of the men of Rann being sterile. The effects of the zeta-beam, which brought Strange to Rann were temporary, meaning that Strange often spent much time away from his wife (and, in time, child) waiting for the next beam to strike. Eventually, however, Sardath made the effect permanent. In recent years, Strange has often worked as a diplomat, both for Rann and for Earth.
