But his heroism would come at an even greater price.
Expelled from Atlantis by it's new Queen, Arthur's former wife, Mira. Arthur would be found by the spirit of the legendary Lady of the Lake. Discovering he was of regal blood equal to that of King Arthur, he was granted the power of Excaleber in the form of an elemental living shield in the form of a hand, perminantly replacing his missing left appendage!
Whether in or out of the water, his great strength and nobility makes him one of Earth's greatest heroes: Aquaman.
