For thousands of years, members of two warring races, the Kherubim and the Daemonites, have lived hidden amongst humanity, continuing their ancient conflict.

In recent times one of the Kherubim Lords, Emp, brought together a team made up of Kheran (singular of Kherubim), Kherubim / human hybrids and empowered humans, whom he termed the WildC.A.T.S., a force designed to be the ultimate foes of the Daemonites, and perhaps finally end the threat to humanity once and for all!

Centuries ago the secret war which raged between two groups of aliens stranded on Earth took a bizarre twist. Since before the first record of human history, the Daemonites, body possessing shapeshifters, and the Kherubim, virtually immortal humanoids, had been at a stalemate. So the Daemonites tried a new strategy; using a captured Kherubim to breed a hybrid with traits from both races. They succeeded, but the child proved to side more with the Kherubim side of it's heritage. It fled their clutches, and hid among humanity. The hybrid had offspring, adding human genes to the mix, and as time and generations passed, the alien genes became recessive.

Priscilla Kitaen, Pris to her friends, worked as an "exotic dancer" at Georgetown's hottest strip club, the Hot Spot, going by the stage name of Voodoo. Though she didn't know it, she was a descendent of that first hybrid, which was why, when a battle erupted in the club between Daemonites and a Kherubim "Coda" warrior, she was able to see past the Daemonites' human seemings to see the true beings underneath. Targetted by both sides, her life was saved by Grifter, a human trained in the Coda ways. Afterwards he offered her a chance to learn to defend herself from the Daemonites who still pursued her, by joining the WildC.A.T.S.
