Hank Antique Faceted Ice Crystal Beads!
These beads are circa 1920.
I believe they are about a size 11. There
are ten - 6 inch strands of WONDERFULLY GORGEOUS
faceted delectable ice crystal glass beads! There are 20 per inch and means there will be a about 1200 beads to PLAY WITH AND ENJOY!
These came from the hem fringe of an antique dress
who's fabric was disintergrating, and sadly, I could do nothing to restore if for display in
my home. I just knotted 10 - 6 inch strands together in a
bunch. I hope this does not offend anyone.
Anyway, if these beads could talk, what tales could they
tell?!?
The passage of time has not degraded their lovely,
unique, and ascetically pleasing appearance.
These were the type of beads used
in the early years of last century for purses, dresses, hats and laces. PERFECT
for repairing, restoring, or recreating the lovely beaded artistic needlework of
yesteryear, whether it be beaded purses, lampshades, jewelry, appliqué,
embroidery, cross stitch, beaded loom work or clothing. What will you do with
them?
