Up for your consideration is one of the
first sets of our NEW PRODUCT LINE of Genuine Depression Era Prestamped Embroidery Goods on
Heavy Cream Muslin! These were
originally offered for sale to needleart lovers in the
1930's!
These fancywork designs were originally sold in the 30s and have not been
offered for sale for over 65 years! However, we strove to make them
available once again and can now offer you beautiful Depression Era baby and child quilt
embroidery designs in easy, ready-to-use, prestamped muslin goods! Great for
your needleworking pleasures, home decorating and gift giving! Perhaps you know of someone
who loves to stitch redwork, blackwork, art embroidery, etc.,
who would love to receive the prestamped quilt blocks themselves. Or,
you might machine or hand stitch it up yourself for an
heirloom qualtity gift for that little special someone!
A perfect
gift for that special child in your life!
Our Prestamped Products are made with the finest heavy
weight cream colored muslin we could find! It took some time
until we found fabric good enough to replicate the antique quality quilts I
grew up with but we did it! I am happy to say this
heavy, tightly woven, unbleached muslin is very much like the fabric my grandmother
used when my mother was a child. It is lovely and will combine or
contrast quite charmingly with both antique, vintage and contemporary fabrics you might have on
hand or hunt up while shopping.
These blocks will
finish out to be 8x8 inches square when sewn with a 1/4 inch seam allowance. The
finished dimentions of this quilt block set can be altered by you depending
on how wide the sashing and border pieces you choose to use. The blue fabric
