An excerpt:
"This book will show you
haw simply and quickly Hardanger can be done and
how very effectively it can be applied to curtains, beadspreads, antimacassars, dressing table scarfs,
doilies, sota cushin tops, etc.
Hardanger
embroidery takes its name from the little town of Hardanger on the fiord of that
name in wester Norway. The work in its original form is very old, as long aga in
Pesia and Asia it was worked in colored silks on a very fine gauze netting. The
work is easily done, and is not trying to the eyes or nerves."
