(a scarce atlas distributed in parts to newspaper subscribers), 139 Fleet Street,
London.

unfurled banner around the globe) is shown above the title.
Theodor Ettling (born 1823)
was a Dutch draughtsman, engraver and lithographer who worked
first in Amsterdam, later moving to London where he produced maps for
some of the British papers of the mid-nineteenth century.
This fascinating authentic map
shows state borders, provinces, individual
counties,
towns, forts, roads, railways (in operation and proposed),
rivers, and lakes.

It was officially opened in the summer of 1832.

southern coast of the island of Newfoundland.
The first permanent French fishing settlement was
established in 1604. The islands were subsequently exchanged between the French
and British several times until restored permanently to France in 1816 under the Treaty
