This authentic map shows the North Atlantic route of "Sunbeam",
an aux. three-masted top-sail composite schooner built in 1874
for Lord Brassey.
Lady Anna Brassey (1839-1887), wife of 1st Earl Brassey,
was a hugely popular Victorian author. On her travels she made a large
collection of ethnographic and natural history objects. The map shows a
route of a leisurely two-month cruise from England to Madeira, Trinidad,
Venezuela, Jamaica, the Bahamas, and Bermuda, and then back to England
via the Azores.

The condition is
good.
Imperfections: age toning, faint stain in the right margin.
Will look great with a mat and frame.
