This steel-engraved map
appeared in Jean B.G. Roux de Rochelle's États-Unis d'Amérique.
Paris: Firmin Didot frères. First edition, 1837. Plate 45. Engraved by
Blondeau.
Roux de Rochelle, the French Minister to the U.S.,
included the American volume in a large series entitled L'Univers.
The book contained 96 images of the United States and it was
first issued in 1837. Beginning in 1839 the plates were reissued in
several French editions, as well as editions in Italian, Spanish and
German.
This map shows Boston, Charlestown, Cambridge, Dorchester, and Roxbury.
The major roads, streets, forts, and houses are indicated.

The map is 4.2 x 7.2 inches on 5.3 x 7.7 inches sheet.
Steel engraving.
The map is in good condition. Imperfections:
age toning; one faint water stain.
Will look great with a mat and frame.
