1933:
World depression, rampant unemployment, gangland lawlessness and despair reign. The newly elected President, aristocrat Judson Hammond, would rather leave all such matters alone and get on with the business that his party says is the business of America - business. As the nation suffers while he plays with power, an Act of God intervenes - an automobile accident of his own caprice strikes him down, which by all appearances is the end of him.
But then, a miracle happens - something greater than himself has brought him back from death's door to fulfill the promise that the office of President can and should embody.
Might it be possible that such a man might reign in the White House now?
The world is waiting on the answer - we can only hope -- and pray.
