- In 1997, legendary calypso performer Harry Belafonte gave a performance that was filmed by masterful and award-winning video director Jim Brown. The result, AN EVENING WITH HARRY BELAFONTE AND FRIENDS was broadcast on PBS and become the star's first concert in more than 10 years. Joined by several musician friends from the Caribbean, Latin America, and Africa, Belafonte performs a stellar set which includes the hits "Island In the Sun," "Banana Boat," and "Jamaica Farewell.'
