Synopsis:
A powerful drama about a married woman whose unrelenting greed and ambition eventually cause her own downfall. Based on a Pulitzer Prize-winning play by George Kelly. Domineering wife Harriet Craig cares more about her house and the material possessions in it than she does for her loving husband, Walter.He becomes a murder suspect when Harriet leaves town to visit her sick sister. She heads back home, unaware of the potential scandal, after deciding her sister would recover better alone. Harriet's scheming and attempts at clearing Walter become too much for everybody in her house and before long, her servants, her niece and even Walter have started rebelling against her.
