Visitors Sign Kiddieland Amusement Park Melrose Park IL
This is an original sign from the recently closed Kiddieland Amusement Park in Melrose Park, Illinois. This was purchased in a group of signs on the day they auctioned off the contents. (There was only one lot which included a large group of signs and this was it.) I personally attended the auction and removed the signs in this lot from Kiddieland the day after the auction. (Check out my other listings for some other signs from the park.) This sign must have hung in an off-limits area. It reads "Authorized Personnel Only - Visitors Must Check in at the Office". The sign is made of lucite with vinyl letters. It measures 12" x 12". The sign is in fair, used condition - there are scratches across it - part of the "H" in "authorized is worn off - some of the other letters have nicks out of them - there are light specks across it. (See photo, the second photo shows the sign lot at the auction site, which was in the bumper car building.) THIS WOULD BE A GREAT ITEM TO HAVE TO REMEMBER THE PARK! There are a limited number of signs and many of the signs there were only one or two of. I've catalogued all the signs that were in the Kiddieland sign lot, assigned them numbers and will give a certificate certifying that it came from this lot at the Kiddieland auction.
