1945 News Poster Cincinnati Streetcar Crash Trolley
This is an original Timely News poster sent to McCoy Cleaners in Illinois on October 5, 1945 with the headline "1 Killed, 35 Injured in Wreck". The photo was from Cincinnati and showed a view of scene where a runaway trolley pinned an auto against another streetcar and set the vehicles ablaze. Six days a week these posters would be sent to businesses to display in their businesses. The poster measures 11" x 17". The poster has creases from being folded into sixths to be mailed (see mailing address on back photo). This was folded into sixths into the size of a letter and then mailed to the business. There are a couple holes near the top where they would have pushed it onto nails or binder clips to display. The poster is in good condition. Postage is $3.75.
